Over the past few months, my interest for music grew bigger and bigger to become this expendable supermassive black hole absorbing as many different rhythms as possible. Deciding that music is the career paths I want to follow, I thought my family's reaction would be the key to future happiness - or massive interrogation to why their opinion differs from mine on a question as personal as my future. Talking about this enthusiastically to my mom in the beginning of this summer '15 that she said, without a slight note of surprise: "I knew it for ages". (Adding that I have been talking about music-as-a-career-path ever since I'm 12, and that it was the reason why I wanted to become a journalist [which I had obviously forgotten about].)
Going through the music in my iPod (yes! iPod not iPhone), I have realised that music had, indeed, been a huge part of my childhood, and my lovely period of time as the loveliest teen you could have ever met. (See Peyton Sawyer in One Tree Hill? Yeah, pretty much me, with less talking and more headphones!)
September, for many pupils and students around the world, marks the moment you have to go back to school. The moment you say goodbye to your endless days on the beach and hello to your endless day sitting at your desk. To me, if everything goes as planned, this September does not only represent that moment I have to meet new teachers and deadlines, it will also mark the end of my life as a student - after six years of university.
Full of emotions and feelings and memories, I have decided to share with you this playlist that is my ultimate route de souvenirs. A playlist that mix songs from Green Day to Daniel Powter, songs from the French Kyo to the British The Libertines. All of the artists that I was listening to on my way to high-school are on this playlist - and as I have probably forgotten many others, this playlist will evolve.
I hope this will put a smile on your faces and bring you back to that moment you've decided that, yes, music will always have an important place in your heart, and mind.
