In June 2014, annoyed with the fact I could not find any more inspiration for the blog I was writing, I have decided to start a new blog, and therefore a new adventure. Leaving Wordpress for Blogger, I have also decided to leave my sarcastic world with no real goal for this music and fashion one which main aim was to become a sort of portfolio. It was also a way for me to have a fresh start in my personal life as well - a way to show that this "hobby of [mine]" could help me to grow as a person. And, in a way, it worked. Therefore, a year ago, after struggling for days to find a name that could mean something and be 'catchy', I have register a new blog onto Blogger: Frenchie Fringe.
At this point, in the beginning of July, my struggle had just started. I had a name. Fine. But what would I talk about? How would I present it? What would the design look like? How often would I post? etc. Many questions that I wanted to answer as fast as possible. And I did. On 15 July 2014, exactly a year ago today, I have posted my first ever post on this new blog of mine. What was it about? Fashion... during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It was so 'good' that I have put it offline ever since. The design I had at the time also made its way to the virtual bin at some point. It looked like this:
I have made mistakes with this blog, one of which might be the language I chose to express myself in - as it is not as perfect as it could be had I decided to write it in French. But the main mistake I have done certainly is the content I have chosen for some posts. Writing about the Kardashians or society problems was probably not my best move as a new blogger. And this is why, even though these posts are part of the history of the blog, they are quietly being put offline. Ashamed? Me? Noooo.
On the other hand, by knowing what I did not like to write about, I have grown to realise what made me want to spend hours in front of my computer instead of enjoying the sun. Here are some examples:
• Fashion: Fashion Inspiration, Fashion Trends, OOTD; many other sub-sections that make this big meaningless word turn into something interesting, something that can yet make you be different from any other fashion bloggers out there.
• 10 things...: or maybe five. I love writing this kind of posts as it forces me to find things to say about a movie, a book, a place, a city, a country. A sort of Buzzfeed challenge that is good for an healthy brain, I think.
• Music: I would probably say that this is my absolute favourite theme at the moment as it is the one for which I receive the more feedbacks - which are amazing to improve. Reviews, playlists, awards; just like with fashion, knowing what you like to write about can make you be different from other bloggers.

The main reason I am writing this post is to thank you, all of you. You, singers and bands that I have reviewed in the past; being read by you (and receiving feedbacks) is all I am always aiming for. Thank you.
Thank you to the people who start acknowledging the blog - and giving me stuff to do, watch or listen to when I'm bored.
But most of all, THANK YOU, to all of you reading this post. Thank you to all of you who have read posts I have been sharing with you for the past year.
Thank you to all of my family and friends who have to bare with me talking about the blog when something cool happens on it.
