Is it just me, or do you also have problems figuring out what to wear in the morning? What is the weather going to be? Is it going to be warm? Cold? Cloudy? Sunny? Rainy? AAAAAAAAH!
Just like every year, Summer and Spring have started again their constant fight in the London sky letting us wonder what the weather could be like the next week, next day, or even the next hour. Sunny or cloudy, windy or extra-hot, this is the period of time in the year when the sun can give you the flu, and the rain, sunburns. Days after days, weeks after weeks, the sun appears and disappears constantly. It appears to hide itself behind clouds when you decide to be part of team bare-legs, and shines of its brightest light when you are hidden behind a large woolen jumper. It also appears when I write a blog post on how cloudy and rainy London can be.
Because of that issue, my wardrobe is about to explode as my Winterish-Summerish jumpers and my Summerish-Winterish dresses, as well as the jackets, shirts, etc, have to stay visible to help me go through the chilling nights of these post-Winter/pre-Summer moments. And this situation of having everything in the same wardrobe remains me of that time I had my studio in Paris. I was not able to hide my Winter clothes in Summer, and vice versa, as I did not have enough space for it. So everything was just... there, hanging. It was a bit of a nightmare, but such a great memory anyway.
And this is why I have decided to do the Frenchie Fringe tries to looks Frenchie French kind of look. Using many of the clichés that are associated to the French street style for women, I picked clothes up, put them on and... had fun. And strangely enough, I have realised that I am wearing that kind of outfit way more often than what I thought.
However, the most positive side of this selection is that whatever the weather outside during this period of change linked to the seasons, it is never 'too hot' or 'too cold'. It is just the perfect association of what I need to enjoy my day, with a little bit of wind and rain, or a tiny bit of warm sunlight. And, when you meet someone in a crowded place, you can say 'Look for the one girl that look French!' and ... it works!
