"If you can dream it, you can do it." This is what Walt Disney was saying when he was creating the magical world that we still remember today as Disney movies. And this month it is this quote and this world that My Little Paris has chosen to set up the theme of the April 2015 box, My Little Dream Box.
My Little Dream Box, or like I call it after last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy "My Little DreamY Box", is as usual composed of a quote, a magazine, a "lifestyle surprise", a "fashion surprise" and a bag of beauty goodies.
"Avoir la tête dans les nuages" expresses one's state of being daydreaming and escaping the real world to go to that wonderful place full of positivity and happiness, this utopia that is unreal but to our minds. French for the English "to have the head in the clouds" it is the reason why a few of the items are presented in a cloud-shape.
The Delphine Pariente collaboration with My Little Box, for instance. The surprise jewellery was hidden inside of a white cloud labelled "Once upon a dream", where I had almost decided to leave the necklace into to be sure not to damage the cloud. It took me almost ten minutes and a careful surgery to extract the necklace.
This month, My Little Box has also created a website that can be seen as a time capsule for your dreams. By going onto www.mylittledreambox.com you can write up your dreams and get them be sent back to you in a year time. A good way to see if you're good at making sure that you know how to make yourself be happy.
In this month's beauty goody-bag, I had the pleasure to receive a solid perfume from Sabé Masson Paris (copacabana). Not only does reading the name of the smell makes you have this eponym song in mind for the rest of the day, but the perfume is also a great thing to carry in your bag during the summer. A good way to stay fresh with no risk of annoying the people next you by spraying your perfume in their faces.
We also received a coloured lip balm created by the French singer and actress Lou Lesage which promises to keep your lips moisturised while doing the job of a lipstick. A sort of gloss that you can apply with your hands wherever you are, whatever time it is. Finally, we got a hair mask for dry ends, which is magical I have to admit. Easy to apply, you just have to rinse it with cold water after a short time of application for it to do miracles with your hair.
As always, product from My Little Beauty are a big success. Simple but effective, they are the beauty products I am waiting for each month, as I know I won't be disappointed by it.
