Twiggy. While some of you do not know her name, you have certainly seen her face -- or some of the following pictures -- more than once in your life.
Famous for her unique eye make-up and the eternal happiness she expresses on the photographs taken 40 or more years ago, the short-haired British model from the 60s is the person I have chosen to be this week's fashion inspiration.
Lesley "Twiggy" Lawson, born in 1949, became famous in the mid-1960s thanks to her thin silhouette, androgynous look and her big eyes. By her 18th birthday, she had modeled in the UK, the US, France and Japan, and was on the cover of important magazines such as Vogue. Her fame started to spread worldwide soon after.
Twiggy is the person that can make me smile or feel happy - and free - just by looking at the picture above. She is one of my woman role model, for her style, for her class, for her character, for her happiness facade she managed to put on for an international public when she was my age.
In 2015, it was announced that she will be the new L'Oréal Professionnel's newest brand Ambassador. And even though the time has gone by, the elegance and energy her face -- and especially her eyes -- can express has not changed.
