The time has now come. The movie that (almost) everyone is waiting for is about to arrive; and for their fans to remain calm, entertained and, obviously, interested in the story, the production has just released the first trailer of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Adaptation of the erotic novel of the same name, Fifty Shades of Grey has attracted a lot of attention from the media ever since the rumors of the making of the movie appeared on internet. Later on, the attention was on the cast; and the £1 million question clearly became for months: « Who is going the portray the iconic Christian Grey? ».
For some people, just like me, this question was as interested as … honestly, I can’t even find a question which is as uninteresting to me as this one. This whole question of Fifty Shades of Grey’s casting was - and still is - the least of my problems. However, as much as I wanted to, nobody did have the opportunity to avoid the exaggerated media coverage on that story.

For the ones who haven’t been on Facebook for the last five days and did not hear of the saga - indeed, there are more to come - here is a summary of the events.
In 2011, a British woman published her first novel Fifty Shades of Grey under the name of E. L. James. By the end of 2012, E. L. James published a trilogy of novels composed of her first novel, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.
The trilogy relates « the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey » (wiki). Said to be an erotic romance trilogy, it can also be considered a young adult - and more explicit - version of the teenagers’ saga Twilight; except that this time, everyone’s human.

In the end, none of the big Hollywood celebrities announced to take the role accepted - which proves that the phenomenon is not as a big of a deal as announced.
Even though I do not think the adaptation of that kind of books - not particularly well-written - should have that much of attention from the media, social media as well as online version of newspapers and magazines have expressed their excitement for the trailer of "Fifty Shades of Grey" for a week now.

The movie which will be out on Valentine's Day 2015 will obviously be the cause of hundreds of reviews and excitement from the media, as well as from your friends on social media.
However, whatever I think of this story, I have to admit that E. L. James published her novel at the right moment. According to the number of copies sold, the book is considered one of the most bestselling novels in several countries in the world; and the number may grow even more when the movie will be released.
