In the early 90s, before it refers to one of the most influential couple in the world, when the name Beckham was pronounced, everyone though of this football player that a lot of people around the globe fancied. By the end of 2000s, Victoria (also known as Posh Spice in the 90s) became the main face of the family - thanks to her fashion brand, "Victoria Beckham". However, as the family grew, the importance given to the rest of the family grew as people realised the children went from only being "cute Beckham children" to "well mannered children who seem to have a future". And even though we heard a lot of Harper Beckham - only daughter of the couple - for her outfits, in 2014, there is only one Beckham child is in the middle of the media attention; Romeo.

Last week, the luxury fashion house, Burberry, released its awaited Christmas advertisement "From London With Love" starring once again one of the Beckham children, Romeo. Romeo Beckham, 12, as class as his mom and charming as his dad, became the new face of the British brand and amazed the fashion world by a rare professionalism for a boy of his age.
Cheeky, smiley, and playful as any boy of his age, Romeo's role in the advertisement is to play the Cupid for this couple (and other dancers) wearing these iconic trench coat that made the brand become as famous as it is today. Presenting as well the suits and scarves the brand is selling on the perfect Ed Harcourt's "The Way That I Live", Romeo is seen as a contemporary Romeo who is helping this dancing couple dancing together before looking for his Juliet.
And that might have been the reason why the reaction comments to this advertisements on social media were so inappropriate, especially Twitter.
The most common of all the inappropriate tweets was "If Romeo Beckham is 12, I'm 12" followed by pictures of the young boy modeling for the Burberry brand, close-ups on him walking in the streets or holding his dad's hand at the airport.
These kind of comments originated a lot of reactions on the social network, both positive and negative. The positive tweets - let's call them inappropriate agreements - are just an increase of wrong commentaries on how a 12 year-old boy can look "hot". Making the assumption that this child is able to understand the complex concept of love, thousands of people around the Twitter planet are willing to try and become the Juliet of the infant version of a Romeo.
On the other hand, these inappropriate tweets created negative - and sometimes very disturbing - answers which were mainly made for the Twitter World to understand how the situation can be perceived.

Romeo Beckham, 12, the innocent victim of the social media monster has made - and I have to repeat it eventually - an amazing job when modeling, acting and dancing for the Christmas advertisement of Burberry, giving a new interpretation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Let's hope we will see more of him in the following years. Modeling or acting. But not in a soon future - he needs to be young first; and his parents seem to have understood that.
